Riya completed her Master’s in Social Work in Public Health from TISS, Mumbai and honours in Political Science from the Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. She holds the experience of working with the government for planning nutrition-based interventions by ensuring the smooth roll out of nutrition schemes and taking up CSR projects. She has also worked towards the menstrual health of adolescents by ideating the project-based field interventions and research. As a young public health professional, she is interested to delve into the policy and social research involving the close study of Gender and Health spanning across WASH, Sexual Reproductive Health, maternal health and nutrition.

In her free time, she loves to do oil on canvas, cook and listen to music.
