Sumitro is a public health expert with 25 years of experience, working with several international organizations and implementing large scale public health and nutrition projects. He has donned several leadership roles and has worked extensively in India and Bangladesh, along with project exposures in Vietnam and Ethiopia. A Post Graduate Diploma holder in Rural Management from Xavier Institute of Social Services, he specializes in project management and operations. He has co-authored papers on Infant and Young Child Nutrition published in the Food & Nutrition Bulletin; and Handwashing Before Food Preparation and Child Feeding: A Missed Opportunity for Hygiene Promotion published in the American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
